As visual storytellers, we’re always chasing new angles—and sometimes, committing to one lens helps us see the world in entirely new ways.

Commissioned by Sony Singapore,

we had the chance to get our hands on Sony’s new 16mm F1.8 G lens ahead of its official release, and spent the week putting it through its paces.

At first glance, 16mm might feel limiting. But in practice, it offered freedom:

to get close, to frame wide, to see the world with fresh eyes.

Across three distinct short films, we leaned into this fixed focal length to test how far a single prime lens could stretch our visual storytelling.
